Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Training & Process Improvement Advisor to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement training programs, contract management education, and procurement process optimization initiatives within a large enterprise environment.

This role serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for translating procurement policies, contract frameworks, supplier management practices, and business processes into practical, action-oriented learning experiences that improve procurement capability, contract literacy, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate combines deep procurement and contract management expertise with strong training development, stakeholder management, process improvement, and project leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, approval, and execution of enterprise procurement training programs

• Partner with Procurement leadership and Enterprise Learning & Development (EL&D) teams to create scalable, repeatable, and business-aligned training solutions

• Translate procurement policies, contract frameworks, negotiation strategies, and best practices into practical learning materials and job aids

• Develop procurement process documentation, standard operating procedures, playbooks, and training resources

• Identify procurement pain points and drive business process improvement initiatives

• Facilitate procurement training sessions, workshops, and capability-building programs

• Support procurement teams by improving contract literacy, supplier management practices, and procurement effectiveness

• Review and negotiate commercial agreements while ensuring alignment with procurement policies and procedures

• Identify and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings, process efficiencies, and risk mitigation

• Establish category management best practices and support procurement strategy execution

• Partner with Legal, Learning & Development, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across initiatives

• Lead project planning, stakeholder coordination, execution tracking, and performance measurement activities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement excellence and operational effectiveness

• Support enterprise efforts to strengthen procurement governance, compliance, and risk management practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 7–10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, contract management, or related business functions

• 10 years of procurement experience strongly preferred

• Extensive experience in procurement, contract management, supplier negotiations, and sourcing initiatives

• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise training programs

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, supplier management, and sourcing strategies

• Experience collaborating with Legal, Learning & Development, and business stakeholders

• Ability to translate complex business concepts into structured, actionable training content

• Strong project management, planning, stakeholder management, and execution skills

• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills

• Strong analytical, process improvement, and problem-solving capabilities

• Stable work history within large enterprise organizations

Desired Skills

• Experience working in utility, regulated, or large enterprise procurement environments

• Experience developing procurement, sourcing, or contract management training programs

• Strong facilitation, coaching, and organizational development experience

• Knowledge of category management, supplier performance management, and procurement governance

• Experience leading procurement transformation or business process improvement initiatives

• 3 years of Big 4 consulting experience preferred

• Experience supporting enterprise learning and development programs
