Requirements


Must have:

– Bachelors Degree and 10 years of experience in Application Development, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology management OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Application Development, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology management – Over 15 years in technology roles, with a minimum of 8 years in enterprise architecture positions – Proven experience in financial services with an in-depth knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements – Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives ($10M+) from architecture definition to production deployment – Experience with complex, federated architecture operating models across various business domains – Strong engineering background with hands-on expertise in application development, system design, and solution delivery – Deep acquaintance with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, API-first) – Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), advanced integration strategies, and data architecture – Insight into emerging technologies such as AI/ML, distributed ledger technology, and real-time processing – Capability to comprehend and convey business capabilities, value streams, and operating models within the financial services sector – Experience in translating market trends and competitive intelligence into effective technology strategies – Proven ability to construct business cases and ROI models for technology investments – Exceptional communication skills capable of influencing senior executives and technical teams – History of driving decision-making in complex situations involving multiple stakeholders – Experience in leadership roles within matrixed organizations without direct reporting authority – (Nice to Have) Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA is a bonus – (Nice to Have) TOGAF, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform certifications – (Nice to Have) Familiarity with post-merger integration and application rationalization – (Nice to Have) Background in Agile/DevOps transformation and platform engineering

Responsibilities:


  • Define and refine enterprise architecture strategies that align with business goals and respond to market dynamics across various banking operations including Payments, Digital Banking, Lending, and Core Banking platforms – Establish and uphold enterprise patterns, reference architectures, and architectural principles that steer technology investments and solution design – Lead the formulation of target state architectures and multi-year transformation roadmaps that balance innovation with risk management – Collaborate with business leaders to understand market trends, competitive pressures, and strategic priorities, transforming these insights into actionable architecture blueprints – Create and maintain business capability models connecting strategic goals to technology enablement across the enterprise – Drive architectural decisions to enhance cost efficiency, agility, and time-to-market while managing technical debt and ensuring regulatory compliance – Oversee the architecture and design of complex, mission-critical initiatives throughout their lifecycle from conception to implementation – Offer technical consultation on application architecture, integration patterns, data architecture, and cloud platforms – Conduct architecture reviews and governance activities to ensure that solutions meet enterprise standards while fulfilling business needs – Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, effectively translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa – Facilitate architecture decision-making processes and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups – Mentor solution architects and engineering teams, enhancing architectural maturity throughout our organization
