Role Description

This is a hybrid contract role for the President of MainStreetChamber™, based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area, with some remote work flexibility. The President will lead strategic decision-making, oversee operations, and build relationships with key stakeholders to drive the organizational mission forward. Responsibilities include managing partnerships, expanding the member network, delivering community engagement initiatives, and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization. The President will also serve as the organization’s public representative, promoting its values and advocating for small business growth.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and organizational management skills, including experience leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills to effectively represent the organization and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic planning and business development expertise to implement initiatives that support growth and sustainability.
  • Proficiency in building partnerships and fostering relationships with business professionals, community organizations, and corporate sponsors.
  • Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community engagement is highly beneficial.
  • Understanding of small business challenges and opportunities, with a passion for empowering small business owners.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred.
