Seasonal Position Without Benefits Monitors the activities of the summer camp recreational program and ensures participants comply with policies and procedures regarding the same.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Coordinates, organizes, and monitors educational and recreational programming; ensures participants comply with policies and procedures regarding the same.
  • Teaches children; ensures students receive proper instruction and are informed of available programming at recreation centers.
  • Coordinates and supervises the activities and events held at center; monitors the day-to-day activities to ensure success of the event and activities.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts.
  • Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications.
  • Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

The following Licenses and Certifications that must be obtained after employment . Continued employment is contingent on successfully obtaining required certification(s) and/or license(s) within the specified period of time indicated above from time of hire**

  • First Aid and CPR Certificates must be obtained within three (3) weeks of employment**
