Job Details Division: Nucor Building Systems TexasLocation: Terrell, TX, United StatesOther Available Locations: N/ABasic Job Functions: Responsibilities for a plasma operator include but are not limited to:

  • Operate and maintain the two plasma cutting beds as a part of the built-up structural process
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader.
  • Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders).
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess understanding of metal building systems fabrication.
