Plans Examiner Engineer
About the Position At Maricopa County’s Planning and Development, we provide our Engineers with consistency and the opportunity to balance work with their social life. As a Plans Examiner Engineer, you can expect a consistent 40-hour-a-week schedule that will challenge and encourage you to learn new aspects of engineering.As a Plans Examiner Engineer, you will work with a team of Professional Engineers and Engineering Associates to review permit applications for construction projects, planning cases (entitlement), and assist with on-call services to address customer inquiries. You will review a variety of projects, ranging from residential to commercial and industrial, as well as subdivisions, while interacting with consulting engineers, developers, homeowners, inspectors, and contractors. You will also assist and coordinate with other County permitting agencies, including the Flood Control District, MCDOT, Environmental Services, and Real EstateThis position offers the option of part-week teleworking, a 9/80 flex schedule, and flexible core business hours.About Us Maricopa County is GROWING.
