Job Responsibilities The Business Career Community Advisor will work with primarily continuing students in Administrative Office Technology, Commercial Arts, Computer Technology, and Business programs. Provide proactive academic advising to primarily continuing students to increase persistence, retention, and graduation rates. Aid in helping students confirm their major choice and career goals. Help students create an Academic Plan to assist in selecting courses for the upcoming semester(s). Assist students with the graduation planning process. Encourage students to navigate through the resources that PTC offers. Case manage a designated population of moderate-risk students with the Business Career Community. Maintain advising records and compliance with FERPA regulations. Engage in professional development and perform duties that coincide with advising responsibilities at PTCMinimum and Additional RequirementsBachelor’s degree.Preferred Qualifications Experience in student services programs preferred. Applicant must be customer service-oriented and a self-starter. Knowledge of EAB Navigate and Microsoft Outlook.Additional Comments These are temporary, part-time positions.
