Owner’s Project Manager
Tierney Development Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing firm. The firm provides owner’s project management and development advisory services throughout New England, and specializes in multifamily housing within the Greater Boston area. Our typical services include design reviews, consultant procurement and coordination, utility coordination, general contractor procurement, construction oversight, schedule management, and quality control inspections. We help clients mitigate their design and construction risks while assisting with strategic decision making.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Owner’s Project Manager will act as the owner’s primary representative on assigned projects, responsible for guiding projects from design through construction closeout. The role requires great communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently.
Other responsibilities include:
- Managing scope, budget, schedule, and risk across all project phases
- Leading coordination with architects, engineers, general contractors, and third-party consultants
- Reviewing and advising on design documents, schedules, cost estimates, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Providing clear, concise recommendations to owners to support timely decision-making
- Attending and leading project meetings and regular site visits within the Greater Boston area
- Supporting permitting, agency coordination, and project closeout activities
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Minimum 7 years of multi-family experience in architecture, construction, or owner’s project management
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through design and construction
- Strong understanding of construction processes, consultant coordination, and risk management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The position is remote, but requires regular site visits and in-person meetings within the Greater Boston area.
