Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school team in New Orleans, LA. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality speech therapy services, helping students strengthen their communication skills for academic success and personal growth.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

  • Grade Levels: Pre-K 8th Grade

  • Caseload: 5060 students

  • Type: Onsite only

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate speech, language, and developmental skills of students.

  • Assess and document current levels of ability and recommend interventions.

  • Collaborate with IEP teams by reviewing case histories and identifying student needs/strategies.

  • Develop individualized treatment goals and select appropriate materials/equipment.

  • Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support in classroom and educational settings.

  • Train and assist teachers and staff involved in student education.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy logs, student progress, and Medicaid reporting.

Required Credentials

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active Louisiana SLP License (non-negotiable)

  • Demonstrated professional competency as a speech-language pathologist
