MP&L Strategy and Planning Analyst
Job Description In this position… Ford is undergoing a significant digital transformation of its global supply chain and manufacturing operations. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MP&L Business Process Analyst to support critical initiatives that will modernize our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) capabilities. This role will contribute to the deployment of SAP S4 Hana, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and cutting-edge Intelligent Inventory technologies across our global enterprise. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing, documenting, and optimizing our MP&L processes, assisting with the transition from legacy systems, and supporting the adoption of new, advanced solutions to enhance efficiency, visibility, and accuracy across our global supply network.
Responsibilities What you’ll do…

SAP S4 Hana Conversion Support:
-
Support the comprehensive deployment and change management efforts for the global conversion of Ford’s mainframe MRP system (CMMS) to SAP S4 Hana.

Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and implementation partners to analyze, document, and support the design and implementation of optimized MP&L processes within the S4 Hana environment.

Assist with process documentation, gap analysis, solution design, testing, training material development, and end-user training delivery.

Contribute to go-live activities, hypercare support, and post-implementation optimization to ensure successful system adoption and realization of business benefits.

SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Deployment Assistance:
-
Assist in the deployment of SAP EWM across relevant Ford manufacturing plants and distribution centers globally.

Work with warehouse operations teams to analyze, standardize, and optimize inbound, outbound, internal, and storage processes within EWM.

Support EWM integration with S4 Hana and other critical systems, focusing on real-time inventory accuracy, efficient material flow, and labor optimization.

Intelligent Inventory Initiative – Global Transportation Label & RFID Technology Contribution:
-
Contribute to the global deployment of the Intelligent Inventory initiative, focusing on the standardization and implementation of Global Transportation Labels and RFID Technology.

Assist in the analysis and execution of strategies for leveraging RFID for enhanced inventory visibility, traceability, and accuracy from supplier to plant.

Support the adoption of these technologies to reduce manual efforts, improve data quality, and enable advanced analytics for inventory optimization.

Business Process Analysis & Optimization:

Perform in-depth analysis of current MP&L business processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Document future-state processes that align with SAP best practices and leverage new technological capabilities.

Assist in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of new processes and systems.

Support continuous improvement methodologies to drive ongoing operational excellence.

Change Management & Stakeholder Support:

Support the development and execution of change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes by end-users.

Assist in engaging and communicating with diverse stakeholders across various functions (Manufacturing, Purchasing, IT, Finance, Plant Operations) and global regions.

Prepare materials for workshops, presentations, and communication plans to build understanding and generate buy-in.

Knowledge Sharing:
-
Act as a contributor and learner, sharing knowledge and best practices within the MP&L and IT communities.
Qualifications You’ll have…
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
-
3 years of experience in Material Planning & Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, or IT business process transformation.
-
1 years of hands-on experience participating in or supporting SAP implementations, specifically with SAP S4 Hana and/or SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).

Experience with legacy system migrations or conversions, or data analysis related to such projects.
-
Experience in business process analysis, documentation, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
-
Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
-
Exposure to intelligent inventory technologies such as RFID, labeling, or other supply chain digitization initiatives is a plus.
-
Experience supporting project activities, documentation, and tracking.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications or process documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented with a strong ability to organize and document information.

Ability to understand and connect detailed process changes to broader business objectives.

Proficiency in relevant tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, process mapping tools, project tracking tools).

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
