Under general supervision of the Executive Director, provides daily oversight of the Family Options for Cherokee, Union, and Spartanburg (FOCUS) grant, to include the project staff, budget, clinical data, and contracts. Facilitates meetings, infrastructure, and training activities for the project. Facilitates and coordinates regional taskforce and meetings and outreach/engagement efforts. Providers supervision and intervention services for program/staff regionally. Works collaboratively with program staff to objectives and performance measures of grant initiatives.Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II include:

  • Provide program oversight to all FOCUS components and social marketing campaign and assure proper integration with existing programs and infrastructures. Facilitates daily huddles, monthly core team meetings, and provides reports and updates to the Leadership Coalition and the Joint Council on Children and Adolescents.
  • Coordinate with other agency fiscal agents to produce and submit financial reports and monitor expenditures among categories. To explore avenues to pool and blend resources to sustain the project after federally ends. Research and investigate opportunities for resource development, project expansion, and sustainability. Meet established benchmarks regarding Patient Care Hours and Quality Assurance measures (80% notes signed in less than two days, POA’s, if applicable, safety plans).
  • Supervise grant employees to ensure that activities are carried out in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work with project local site partners to establish youth engagement and peer support development strategies as well as increasing youth voice within participating agencies and the system of care. Plan and implement workshops and activities that engage parents, families, and youth in their abilities to provide support.
  • Assist with the social marketing, outreach, and awareness building aspects of the project.
  • Completes a ll required reports. Provide ongoing formative evaluation information to the grant evaluation team specifically as it relates to client data. Following appropriate legal, ethical and HIPAA standards, coordinate documentation of activities and outcomes for evaluation. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal Corporate Compliance laws.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Spartanburg Area MHC catchment area as directed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.

Additional Requirements:

  • In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

  • Have knowledge of supervision practices for family and youth peer support specialists, as well as clinicians.

  • Have knowledge of wraparound and other young adult programs/service models.
