Media Infrastructure Engineer
Lawo designs, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge networked video, audio, and control systems for television and radio production, as well as live performance applications, worldwide.
*This position is in New York City. Qualified candidates must be able to commute to the job site.*
You will be a part of a team that delivers cutting-edge IP-based SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Projects and commissioning, with a focus on IP media infrastructure projects
- Commissioning and Configuration of delivered products on-site at customer locations.
- After-sales support
- Technical troubleshooting (remote/on-site)
- Close collaboration with the Lawo headquarters in Germany
- Pre-Sales Support
- Technical Consulting, Conceptual design
- Configurations & Programing
- Other Duties as Assigned
Your Profile
- Education in broadcast, audio, electrical engineering or a related field is required
- Experience in the broadcast environment, with a focus on engineering
- Experience with IP projects, specifically SMPTE 2110 Networking expertise with respect to Layer 3 environments and Multicast workflow
- Passion for new technology
- Structured way of working and problem-solving ability driven by delivering service excellence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Readiness for international travel
- Ability to work alone with little or no supervision
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Moderately proficient with Python, Linux, and Kubernetes
- Experience in Docker and Ansible is preferred.
