Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanical Journeyman to support maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform root cause analysis
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
• Replace or repair defective components, including motors, pumps, bearings, and valves
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Journeyman-level mechanical experience or certification (preferred)
• Strong background in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Welding or fabrication experience (a plus)
• Basic electrical or PLC troubleshooting knowledge
• CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience
