About the Opportunity:

The Manufacturing Production Manager leads the factory and manufacturing execution for the hardware business. This role is responsible for converting approved, launch-ready hardware designs into finished products that meet quality standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines. The position manages the full manufacturing lifecycle from tooling and prototyping through mass production, quality assurance, and delivery into distribution centers.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle for hardware products from tooling and prototyping through mass production and shipment

• Translate approved designs and specifications into executable factory production plans

• Manage production schedules, capacity planning, and factory-level risk mitigation

• Ensure products meet required quality standards, timelines, and cost targets

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for factories and manufacturing partners

• Lead RFQs, cost modeling, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase orders

• Manage ongoing factory performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement

• Scale production across multiple manufacturing partners as needed

• Own quality assurance processes including incoming materials, in-process checks, and final inspection

• Manage compliance testing and certification requirements (safety, regulatory, regional standards)

• Address quality issues proactively and implement corrective actions with vendors

• Oversee handoff of finished goods from factories to distribution centers

• Coordinate production readiness and shipment timing with logistics partners

• Ensure manufacturing outputs align with agreed delivery windows

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in hardware manufacturing, production management, or factory operations

• Proven ability to manage vendors, factories, and external partners across regions

• Experience with tooling, prototyping, mass production, and QA processes

• Strong cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier management skills

• Ability to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks early

• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguity-heavy environments

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000
