In this position… A Conveyors & Facilities Advanced Feasibility Engineer in final assembly is responsible for the strategic design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge conveyor and automation systems used in the final stages of product manufacturing. This role focuses on conducting in-depth feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and improved conveyor solutions, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for efficiency, safety, and lean manufacturing principles
Responsibilities What you’ll do…
- Designing efficient conveyance systems and layouts in AutoCAD
- Performing detailed feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to evaluate proposed designs and process changes, including assessing technical viability, cost-effectiveness, and potential risks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, product engieers, the plant teams and suppliers, to define technical specifications and integrate conveyor systems seamlessly into the final assembly line.
- Optimizing existing conveyor layouts and processes to enhance throughput, improve ergonomics, and reduce operational costs.
- Ensuring all conveyor system designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal specifications.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept generation to installation and prove-out of new systems.
- Adding costs into GMOD for forward model programs for conveyance and facilities
- Ensure tier 1 suppliers are compliant to GVOSS with conveyance and tooling designs
- Lead onsite activities such as field reviews and plant alignment meetings
Qualifications You’ll have…
- Applied science degree, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Min 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
- Automotive experience, final assembly preferred
- Conveyance systems or tooling experience preferred
- Strong written and communication skills
- “Go-getter” attitude, self-starter
- AutoCAD and Teamcenter proficiency

This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $72,480-162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate’s skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
