Job Category: Category ManagementDegree Level: Bachelor’s DegreeJob Description: Job Description The Manager, Project Procurement leads procurement activities for Infrastructure Solutions (IS) projects across the Americas. This role manages supplier strategy, oversees project purchasing, supports NPDI initiatives, and ensures alignment with sourcing strategies, SIOP plans, and operational goals. The position partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Sourcing, and Operations to deliver cost, quality, and delivery performance for complex engineered solutions.Location: Pelzer, SC Travel: 20-30%Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for IS projects, including RFI/RFQ management, supplier selection, and contract execution.
- Support NPDI initiatives by sourcing new components, managing supplier engagement, and providing early cost and lead-time visibility.
- Drive cost savings through competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, and alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Ensure procurement plans align with SIOP, production schedules, and project timelines to support on-time delivery.
- Develop and manage a regional supplier base to ensure performance, capacity, and cost competitiveness.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of supply chain experience in an OEM environment (Procurement, Purchasing, Project Management, or Engineering).
- 3+ years leading procurement activities for complex or engineered-to-order projects.
- 3+ years managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Experience supporting New Product Development (NPDI) or custom-engineered product lines.
- Experience with sourcing tools such as Zycus iSource/iSave or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education
- BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
- PM, CPM, or CPIM certification preferred.
