Manager, Product Discovery
The Manager of Product Discovery is accountable for helping set the strategic direction and implementation of different components of customer product discovery on-site to maximize product visibility and conversion. Product Discovery collectively covers key areas such onsite filters, recommendations, merchandise sort and internal search which are key enablers of the digital experience. You will work with Brand Merchandising and Product Management teams to craft a seamless navigation experience with user-friendly filters, sorting options, and personalized recommendations and fine-tune internal search for optimal product discovery. You’ll be focused on analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and implementing strategies and optimizations that deliver both near and long term revenue across CBH.
This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life as Product Discovery Manager…

Define and Develop Product Discovery strategies for all brands, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Deliver Thought Leadership and Advance how data and emerging technologies influence product discovery across the customer experience.

Drive revenue growth through increased Revenue Per Visitor (RPV) via product discovery methods.

Collaborate with Brand Merchandising and Product Management teams to support a seamless navigation experience through the Product Discovery pillars: onsite filters, recommendations, merchandise sort and internal search.

Data-Driven approach used (site analytics, customer research, brand merchandising data) to identify opportunities for improvement in all product discovery mechanisms (navigation, search, recommendations) for ideal selling and brand goals.

Opportunity Identification for global opportunities to drive impact of Product Discovery across CBH brands.

Optimization and Testing roadmaps to be owned by this leader and executed in partnership with vendor and internal product teams.

Own measurement best practices, dashboards and KPIs specific to product discovery, providing data-driven insights for brand-specific prioritization and team decision-making.

Communicate product discovery strategies and results effectively to key stakeholders across departments (e.g.,Marketing, Merchandising).

Build strong relationships with internal and external partners – understand greatest business need/opportunity, directly influence external partner roadmaps while maintaining a continuous communication cadence across all stakeholders.

Strong ability to partner with Product/tech teams and external vendors to influence roadmaps and advance a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation.

Strong understanding of UX principles, and advanced data analysis techniques.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

A data-driven approach with the ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and relevant technologies (e.g., analytics tools).

5+ years in ecommerce merchandising, product or strategy experience in a retail environment

Experience in e-commerce site operations for multiple brands and product discovery strategies.

Experience with automation tools and methodologies is a plus.
