Manager of Construction Projects – South
About the Opportunity:
The organization values the positive impact of sports and focuses on equipping athletes to achieve their goals. This role supports construction projects by managing schedules, costs, and quality to ensure successful project completion and turnover.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate communication and knowledge of all project activities with landlords and contractors
• Communicate pending and current change plans to the field
• Review and update project schedules to reflect required delivery dates
• Validate work in progress by comparing weekly progress photos to schedules
• Review weekly contractor/developer construction progress reports for schedule compliance
• Conduct regular job site visits for quality assurance, design, and schedule compliance
• Review and validate costs for proposed project-specific changes and update budget records
• Conduct project issue reviews to maintain schedule compliance with stakeholders
• Build strong working relationships with project teams to meet completion and turnover requirements
• Provide weekly status reports and progress data for internal review on active projects
• Monitor critical project milestones, identify issues, and conduct resolution meetings as needed
• Serve as the primary resource for assessing cost and schedule impacts of proposed changes
• Conduct project walk-throughs to produce detailed punch lists and ensure completion before soft openings
• Oversee project closeout and timely transition of building responsibility to the Facilities Manager
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Business
• 3-5 years of experience
• Five or more years managing multiple commercial-grade construction projects within a construction department or organization
• Experience working with a development company and/or construction company
• Previous construction management experience with a retail chain or multi-unit operator
Compensation:
• Targeted pay range $83,000.00 to $138,200.00
