Maintenance Technician – Assisted Living

Mustang Creek Estates in Flower Mound is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring our communities are safe attractive and operating within budget by attending to the communitys maintenance needs Maintenance Technician may accomplished these tasks by having a working knowledge of all building systems and related code requirements including fire protection and security structural HVAC electrical and plumbing Director of Maintenance will also manage the preventative maintenance program at all campuses This position requires a team player with sound organizational skills that interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately preparing vacant rooms for new residents and by responding to and resolving customer complaints promptly Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive Other duties may be required and assigned Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Community Maintenance Support Responding and attending to work orders as directed by the Director of MaintenanceEnsuring that all vacated rooms are thoroughly restored to make ready status in a timely mannerProvide general maintenance services such as plumbing appliance repairs electrical etcBe available to work on an on call basis including weekends and nightsRespond in timely manner to requests and concerns fromDirector of MaintenanceResidentsFamily MembersTeam MembersExecutive DirectorCheck the Maintenance Logs and Daily Log for any needsrequests for maintenanceTouch up paint throughout the communityMaintain the grounds; trash sweep dumpster areas etcPerform any maintenance task necessary as outlined in the Maintenance LogsPerform and maintain Life Safety compliance at all campusesMaintain the key control of the communityQualifications Ability to read write and communicate in EnglishAbility to act in a residents best interestAbility to act and supervise in a professional courteous mannerAbility to follow MCE policies and proceduresAbility to attain the Mustang Creek Estates Team Member CharacteristicsPatience Joy in Service Team Oriented Responsible Flexible Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust possess or be able to successfully complete requirements as outlined by the MCE Driver PolicyAbility to use Microsoft office programs including Word and ExcelExcellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize tasks effectively and efficientlyDemonstrate the ability to work in a confidential environmentPossesses a solid understanding of systems such as HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and code compliancePossesses a basic understanding of safety and fire codesPhysical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
