Hours 2nd ShiftMonday Thursday 200PM 1200AMOccasional overtime as neededSummary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations during the assigned shift to ensure optimal equipment performance operational efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards Working in close alignment with and under the guidance of the Plant Maintenance Manager this role provides leadership and direction to maintenance technicians coordinating and prioritizing work assignments monitoring progress and ensuring the timely resolution of maintenance issues Acting as the primary point of contact for shift related maintenance activities the Maintenance Supervisor collaborates with the Plant Maintenance Manager production and other departments to reduce downtime support operational goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives Principle Duties & Responsibilities Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirementsOversee day to day maintenance activities ensuring timely response to press calls and the completion of preventative maintenance tasksDirectly delegate tasks and assignments to maintenance staff based on operational priorities and workforce availabilityPromote a safety first culture by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and maintenance best practicesProvide hands on support for maintenance activities including corrective mechanical and electrical needs of production and support equipment to maintain operational efficiency and equipment reliabilityCollaborate with other shifts to ensure smooth communication and consistent maintenance coverageCollaborate with the Plant Maintenance Manager to determine the correct team structure and on boarding of staffRequired to float between De Pere campus sites during the shift to provide leadership presence support and troubleshooting guidance for maintenance teamsAccountable for staff development through coaching and training as well as performance reviews attendance records vacation scheduling and pay recommendations for staffPeriodically work outside the normal shift to provide support within the team along with the needs of equipment and productionResponsible for monitoring and tracking equipment service needs within the facilityEnsure proper follow through on all maintenance issues Develop review update and maintain maintenance procedures used for training and communicating workjob expectations of maintenance personnel utilizing the Promapp and Belmark University platformsMaintain inventory areas cleanliness and organization as well as accuracy through auditing and holding maintenance staff accountable for charging parts against work orders Responsible for following SQF requirements along with the appearance of the maintenance shops mezzanines compressor rooms electrical rooms and maintenance work sitesParticipate in open communication within the maintenance departmentMay perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Maintenance ManagerKnowledge Skills & Abilities Required Ability to formulate work plans prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plansRequires eight 8 years of electro mechanical experience or four 4 years of electro mechanical experience with an associate degree in electro mechanical technology or equivalentWork cohesively with team members to achieve departmental goalsAbility to lead develop and support small teamsManage and complete equipment related projects on timePossess excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving skillsExperienced in a manufacturingproduction environmentSupport leadership in the event of absenceMust be able to communicate and work effectively within maintenance team and with internal customersMust be familiar with AC and DC circuits low voltage through 480v three phase powerOffice software and computer navigation skillsMust be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of actionMust be able to resolve problems and make effective decisions under pressureAbility to work independently or as a member of a teamAbility to give receive and analyze informationAbility to meet deadlines May be required to work some overtimeKnowledge of and the ability to speak the English language fluentlyAbility to read comprehend and follow implicit and explicit written and oral instructionsRequires nearly constant concentration along with attention detailAbility to use hands for 100 of work time eg wrenches screw drivers drills etc;
