Job Responsibilities *THIS POSITION IS REPOSTED – Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply*The person in this position will prepare the shopping carts for the procurement of all parts, fuel, and supplies. Manage the transfer of all equipment, the revolving fund, and the bids for parts, fuel, and supplies. Assure that all purchases are reconciled with known pricing and the inventory properly reflects purchases minus documented inventory use; and that inventory minimums and maximum are maintained. Manage, in accordance with procedures and policies, the purchase of parts, supplies, and fuels; the creation of job tickets; and recording of fuel and oil use. Post to the computerized management information system inventory, fuel use, purchase orders, and all other agency accounting reports. Conduct annual shop inventory in accordance with State of South Carolina and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) procedures. Be responsible for the shop computer programs and computer equipment operation to include: system security and data entry. Assist other shop personnel in the operation of the shop cell phone and telephone system. Assume Shop operation responsibility in the absence of County Supervisor and/or Foreman. Maintain proper knowledge of Shop operation that will enable Shop to be operated effectively in absence of Shop Foreman and/or County Supervisor. Prepare required agency and accounting reports including, but not limited to: maintenance operation cost reports, service call logs, monthly fuel reports, and school bus damage reports. Required to lift objects weighing 25 pounds and to move objects weighing 50 pounds 30 feet. Must be able to operate computer/printer equipment using Microsoft Office for Windows software.
