NC State Parks has a Maintenance/Construction Technician II position available. This role is responsible for hands-on work maintaining grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment. Work includes custodial tasks, boundary line clearing, routine maintenance, trail maintenance, trash collection, mowing and trimming, prescribed burn assistance and/or auto mechanics.Key Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks in a trade such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and facility maintenance, and/or auto mechanics.
  • Operation and repair of large and small equipment and/or tools.
  • Purchasing resources in accordance with state purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining records and preparing operational forms.
  • Assisting in housekeeping.
  • May Supervise temporary and permanent staff, community service participates, and/or volunteers on special projects.
