Machine Learning Engineer | $100/hr Remote

Position: Machine Learning Engineer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $80–$120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Draft detailed natural-language plans and implement code solutions for machine learning tasks.
• Convert novel machine learning problems into agent-executable tasks for reinforcement learning environments.
• Identify failure modes in ML and LLM-generated workflows and apply corrective “golden patches.”
• Contribute to benchmarking efforts focused on improving model performance and training efficiency.
• Work independently within structured workflows while delivering measurable, high-quality outputs.

Requirements

• Strong experience in machine learning engineering or completion of advanced academic training in machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with data preparation, model training, evaluation, and debugging ML workflows.
• Ability to reason clearly about ML system behavior and document solutions effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Prior contributions to ML benchmarks are a plus but not required.
