TITLE: Linux Infrastructure Engineer with TS/SCI CI PolyRATE RANGE: $70/hr – $89/hr W2 ***depends on experience and benefits chosen***CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (US Citizenship REQUIRED)LOCATION: Aurora, CO 80011 (no relocation package) work will be performed at a the onsite facility requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.DURATION: 12 month contract or contract to hire***No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED***GeoLogics is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / Linux with well-rounded Linux Infrastructure Engineering expertise to join an agile product team. The Ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional infrastructure design; provisioning of platform, storage, and networking resources for existing on-premise infrastructure hardware that ideally also has experience in emerging DevOps/DevSecOps & Modernized technologies. The Principal Platform Engineer would be engaged in the design and implementation of the system updates and upgrades with Focus on the Linux Server / Linux OS expertise and will interface both with the Program’s Sr. Management and the Customer for Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) as required. The Senior Platform Engineer / Linux would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform’s over-arching design through new emerging technologies. This includes existing operating systems and existing server hardware designs, as well as supporting the design and development of new modernized system architectures.RESPONSIBILITIES You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to develop and communicate implementation, of infrastructure solutionsYou will maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needsYou will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWareYou will ensure that the COTS stack and versioning is consistent across the platform; and will work with the team to make updates as necessaryYou will travel to customer sites to assist in system updates and deliveries when necessaryREQUIREMENTS Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5 years of related work experienceCurrent TS/SCI CI Poly issued security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceExperience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)Experience with VMwareExperience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C , C#, Go)PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissionsExperience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scriptsExperience with modernization technologies such as Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher etc.Experience with System Hardening Experience with AWS technologiesExperience with Cisco IOS / Fiber Switch FamiliarityExperience with Cisco Server Hardware / and Firewall implementationCurrent Security Plus certification or obtain within 90 days of onboardingEDUCATION REQUIRED
