Job Title: Lead Java Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirement intake from stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical tasks.
- Mentor and guide two engineers while supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily execution.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholder collaboration and cross-team alignment.
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Oversee API design, asynchronous workflows, and integration components.
- Lead the design of data ingestion and migration pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Oversee containerization, deployments, and observability setups within AWS.
- Drive engineering quality, documentation, and delivery consistency within an autonomous pod model.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Strong AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway.
- Working knowledge of ETL and AWS Glue pipelines (Python or Scala).
- Solid SQL and NoSQL experience.
- Experience with event-driven platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis.
- Strong CI/CD background with DevOps automation experience.
- Ability to lead an independent engineering pod and manage end-to-end delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark.
- Understanding of enterprise security, IAM, and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience in large-scale integration or modernization programs.
Salary Range:The salary for this position is between $130,000– $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
