In this exciting role, you will be a part of a team of payload hardware and systems engineers who design, test, and verify a payload for the SDA portfolio of programs. It will also involve making use of innovative ideas to accelerate delivery of an integrated payload product, in a fixed-priced contract environment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: – Lead anomaly investigation and resolution on
payload hardware and software
- Assist in the technical development and delivery of
payload hardware and software components - Trend payload performance data across all vehicles
and participate in data reviews - Coordinate with IPT leads across vehicle subsystems
to deliver an integrated payload product#SpaceRFBasic Qualifications
- Experience with flight hardware testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired skills
- Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
or Optical Engineering, related degree, or combined
equivalent education/related experience.
- Experience with optical communications systems
- Experience with requirements and payload
specification development
- Experience with test planning and execution with an
understanding of all the interdependencies
- Experience with System Integration and Verification
- Ability to interact with hardware and software
developers to ensure mission requirements are
satisfied
- Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing
audiences of varying technical knowledge
- Experience in optical testing environment
- Experience with space vehicle testing
- Experience working with vendors/suppliers for delivery of hardware
- Active Secret clearance
