Position: Linguistic Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $40 – $95/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Transcribe video content accurately with detailed timestamping.
  • Analyze and describe speaker tone, intent, and emotional delivery.
  • Evaluate grammatical structures, syntax, and overall language usage.
  • Define and explain nuanced vocabulary and contextual meanings.
  • Perform advanced linguistic assessments including tone, register, and context.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality of outputs.
  • Maintain high standards in written and verbal communication across tasks.

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in English with strong written and verbal abilities.
  • Strong experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or language-focused roles.
  • Deep understanding of linguistic theory, grammar, and language analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail in transcribing and annotating audio-visual content.
  • Ability to capture speaker tone, emotion, and grammatical nuances accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.
