We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead the technical team in our Essential Oils Division, specializing in customized citrus and spice blends for various flavor and fragrance applications. The manager will oversee customer projects and internal initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Responsibilities include managing workflow, monitoring progress, and holding the team accountable for departmental objectives.
Additionally, the role involves hands-on participation in daily lab operations, troubleshooting, and contributing to departmental goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 technical R&D staff, overseeing daily activities and ensuring the timely completion of both customer-driven and internal projects.
  • Actively participate in quality control and research & development efforts within the Essential Oils Division, supporting the formulation of customized citrus and spice essential oil blends and specialty products.
  • Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and training team members to uphold organizational performance and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales-to align processes, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure both short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals are met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across all laboratory activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the ongoing growth and success of the division.Job Requirements Education and/or Work Experience and Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor”s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong understanding of essential oils, flavor/fragrance chemistry, or related formulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulatory complianceListed: $100-$120k base plus benefits
