Requirements


Must have:

– A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. – Proficiency in Java and related frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JEE, Web services, and APIs. – Experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs, employing lightweight data formats like JSON and XML. – Knowledge of cloud platform architectures, including Azure and GCP, along with experience in container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift. – Skills in implementing API security protocols, including OAuth, SAML, JWT, and OpenID Connect. – Familiarity with Agile frameworks, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). – Demonstrated capability to translate intricate business requirements into functional and scalable architecture. – Experience in providing architectural governance and defining reusable API patterns. – Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and team-building abilities. – Strong interpersonal skills with experience working at all organizational levels, including staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors. – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences. – Proficiency in presenting technical concepts and solutions to leadership and cross-functional teams. – Advanced troubleshooting skills to efficiently resolve complex technical issues. – Demonstrated ability to identify industry trends and assess their applicability within enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:


  • I will design and implement RESTful APIs and integration solutions utilizing modern frameworks. – I will develop and maintain API documentation using tools like RAML and Swagger/OpenAPI. – I will integrate event-driven architectures through message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). – I will construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployments. – I will monitor and enhance API performance, including caching strategies. – I will ensure compliance with API governance and security standards. – I will engage in hands-on development of APIs, microservices, and platform proxies for enterprise initiatives. – I will collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and DevOps teams. – I will work closely with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and API team members to aid in product backlog development. – I will operate in an agile, fast-paced environment featuring short release cycles. – I will participate in deployment rotations to oversee implementation and coordinate with support teams. – I will partake in on-call rotations for emergency technical support and planned maintenance. – I will serve as a subject matter expert for API integrations in enterprise initiatives and projects. – I will supervise peer code reviews and provide guidance and direction on development best practices. – I will develop and maintain policies, procedures, standards, documentation, and governance processes for APIs. – I will apply architectural governance that aligns with business and IT strategies. – I will design integration solutions for cloud-native applications across public, private, and hybrid clouds. – I will develop integrations using modern API management frameworks suitable for both B2B and B2C scenarios. – I will monitor the financial services technology landscape to identify innovations and share pertinent insights with leadership. – I will apply strong Java development skills to build and support APIs and integration components.
