JCPC Program Assistant
DESCRIPTION To assist with the Teen Court Program in compliance with required guidelines and regulations of the NC Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and the Bladen County District Attorney’s Office.Max of 300 hours until June 30, 2026.
Temporary Part Time PositionDUTIES
- Maintain all needed forms and paperwork.
- Maintain records for evaluation.
- Organize client files.
- Update records and files on program participants.
- Process all required paperwork and reports on time.
- Assist in recruiting and training community volunteers and teen jury.
- Assist with parenting education/support group.
- Establish a working relationship with county and state officials.
- Assist with necessary materials for marketing.
- Prepare press releases and network with media for public relations.
- Assist with budget revisions and budget accounting.
The Teen Court Assistant will complete 12 hours of continuing education and training per fiscal year.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Extensive finance and budget skills are required, record keeping, computer proficiency, flexible hours to include evenings, organized, and self-directed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Associate degree in finance or with equivalent experience in finance, human services and criminal justice.
