  • Enterprise SQL Server provisioning, patching, and upgrades.
  • Query performance analysis and optimization using Query Store, Foglight, AppDynamics.
  • Automation of database refresh/archive tasks with pre/post refresh steps.
  • Monitoring SQL Server and AlwaysOn Availability Groups using Foglight/Moogsoft.Configure, failover, and failback for AlwaysOn Availability Groups (BC/DR).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day database operations for live and non-live environments.
  • Collaborate with IT and QRM teams to align with business and IT strategies.
  • Perform IT database auditing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Monitor systems and escalate major issues promptly.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain non-production environments, backups, and restores.
  • Incident management, deployment management, and business continuity planning.
  • Backup integration with Spectrum Protect or Cohesity.
  • Implement strong backup/recovery practices and adpersone to security standards.
  • Audit implementation and review of database audit logs.
  • Automate DB copy-related processes.
