Current is launching a premier leverage layer for Sui DeFi. Backed by the Sui Foundation, OKX Ventures, and Comma3, Current unlocks organic borrowing demand and enhances capital efficiency across the Sui ecosystem through integrated lending markets, Multiply (1-click leveraged yield on LSTs and yield-bearing assets), and Margin Trade (multi-asset collateral with yield-earning support). This positions Current as a high-growth, capital-centric DeFi infrastructure in a rapidly expanding Sui ecosystem.
Role Description
We’re hiring an Institutional Relationship Lead to serve as the critical bridge between Current’s cutting-edge DeFi infrastructure and institutional capital.
In this senior, revenue-driving role, your primary objective is fundraising and investor channel expansion. You will be responsible for translating our technical architecture, product vision, and token economics into compelling, easily digestible narratives for both traditional and crypto-native institutions. You will own the entire capital-raising lifecycle—from identifying leads and pitching, to negotiating terms and closing institutional investments.
What You’ll Do
(1) Capital Raising & Drive Institutional Partnerships
- Actively source, build, and maintain a robust pipeline of institutional capital allocators, including venture funds, family offices, LPs, and strategic DeFi investors.
- Develop and deliver high-impact pitch materials, risk models, and capital incentive frameworks tailored to institutional standards.
- Drive the end-to-end investment cycle: from the first introductory pitch to term sheet negotiation and final capital commitments.
- Secure institutional capital and drive strategic TVL growth for the protocol.
(2) Strategic Investor Relations
- Maintain and deepen relationships with current and prospective investors, keeping them engaged with regular updates on protocol traction and financial metrics.
- Analyze Sui DeFi capital allocation behaviors—including top money markets and leading lending protocols—to strategize Current’s market positioning.
- Partner with our product and tokenomics teams to structure fair, aligned investment terms based on institutional feedback.
- Serve as a credible public-facing representative across the Sui ecosystem and institutional crypto landscape.
Qualifications
- Capital Raising Experience:A proven track record of successfully raising capital and closing high-value deals with institutional investors.
- TradFi Background Preferred: Extensive experience in Traditional Finance (e.g., investment banking, institutional sales, hedge funds, or traditional investor relations) is highly preferred.
- Established Network: Strong existing connections with funds, LPs, family offices, or capital allocators in crypto/DeFi.
- Execution-oriented: Demonstrated ability to move from intro → interest → capital commitments. Elite ability to break down complex financial concepts and articulate protocol value, risk frameworks, and capital economics to non-technical, high-net-worth audiences.
- Timezone alignment: cover US / EU hours.
