Title: Digital Project/Program Manager IT

Location: onsite Peoria, IL 100% M-F (if not local must be open to relocating on own dime and must be onsite 2 weeks from offer day 1 of contract)

Type: Contract

Pay: $50-52.33/hr on w2

Length: 12 months-large possibility to extend another 12 months

Screenings: full panel drug and background once hired

IV process: 1 or 2 rounds

+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time

Must Haves:

++Education & Experience Required:++

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years’ experience in this capacity
  • Project/program management tools such as Azure Dev Ops and Microsoft Project.
  • Scrum Master team leadership and guidance experience.
  • Ensuring effective Scrum execution
  • Should have strong program and project management (Agile) communication, change management, analytical and organizational leadership skills.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and facilitating all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective)
  • Experience in driving adherence to Scrum framework
  • Experience in helping the team deliver value each sprint
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure work aligns with priorities and business outcomes
  • Experience leading and facilitating multiple complex programs/projects that involve cross-functional teams comprised of IT staff and business unit personnel.
  • Prior experience developing project charters, project plans, budgets, program/project status reports, IT Governance and Controls, and facilitating stakeholder and sponsor updates.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe and distributed based applications is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Dealer system integrations at (client) is desirable.

Summary: The main function of an IT project/program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Job Responsibilities: Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity. Manage backup, security and user help system. Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements. Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. Provide users with technical support for computer problems. Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff, or participate in staffing decisions. Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements. Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures. Develop computer information resources, provide data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Strong knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Strong knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. PMI or PMP certification preferred. 8-10 years’ experience required.

  • The candidate will work with project teams daily on planning transformation projects along with other PMs/Scrum Masters to plan, execute and communicate project status.
  • Provide operational project leadership support for current initiatives that require formal project structure and governance.

  • Stretch across multiple teams (both IT and business) throughout the building.
