  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Industrial Automation Technician (Fri / Sat/ Sun) Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is C Shift — Friday through Sunday, 5:45am — 6:00pm

Industrial Automation Technician (Fri / Sat/ Sun) Responsibilities

  • Perform routine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on highly complex and automated manufacturing equipment
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance repairs and adjustments
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from low-level signals up to 480 VAC
  • Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Monitor machine performance related to production, quality, downtime, and waste
  • Analyze and resolve complex equipment failures using sound judgment and consultation
  • Support production and engineering teams in achieving operational goals
  • Maintain safety, quality, and equipment reliability standards
  • Work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment

Industrial Automation Technician Requirements

  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and automated system drawings
  • Experience with multimeters, sensors, motors, gearboxes, belts, and chain drives
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Demonstrated time management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Industrial Automation Technician (Fri / Sat/ Sun) Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting Industrial Control Systems (PLC, ladder logic, relay logic, VFDs, servos)
  • Knowledge of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems
  • Mechanical design experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Experience using SAP maintenance modules or CMMS
  • Basic machining, fabrication, or welding experience (mill, lathe, bearing press, welding)
