HWIL Software Engineer – Los Angeles
Requirements
Must have:
– U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this role, as only U.S. citizens can obtain security clearance. – An active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is essential prior to the start date. – A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field is typically required. – A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience is expected. – Proficiency in software development using C++, focusing on object-oriented programming is necessary. – Experience in at least two of the following areas: Embedded Software, Embedded Software Security, Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks), and Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to create software for controlling Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities, including missile flight simulators. – Analyze system capabilities to identify end user needs, addressing program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition. – Ensure compliance with hardware and software standards throughout development processes. – Design and implement build procedures that facilitate hardware and software product development. – Engage in software design, coding, and integration within a real-time environment. – Potentially mentor software developers on the use of configuration management tools and the application of software quality standards. – Involve in control modeling using model-based design approaches.
