About The Role The Human Resources Manager is a strategic partner responsible for executing HR strategies and driving talent initiatives within an assigned region or market. This role involves collaborating closely with store leaders and teams to enhance organizational effectiveness, manage talent lifecycle processes, and cultivate a positive work environment. The HR Manager will oversee key functions such as performance management, leadership development, associate relations, and culture-building efforts. This is a remote position with an expectation of approximately 30% travel to store locations, primarily in Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in retail or a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% within the assigned region
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement talent strategies aligned with business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Influence and collaborate with leadership to manage the talent lifecycle calendar and associated action items
  • Execute regular travel throughout the assigned region or market for talent acquisition, onboarding, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner with leadership and talent acquisition teams to recruit and select candidates aligned with organizational needs
  • Drive succession planning initiatives to address gaps and develop future leaders
  • Provide education and guidance on HR processes, performance management, and leadership development
  • Build and execute talent strategies tailored to individual teams and leaders on an annual basis
  • Support the performance review process, ensuring Individual Development Plans (IDPs) are created and followed through
  • Assist with defining roles and responsibilities, including role clarity and development plans
  • Support regional organizational leadership reviews, succession planning, and development activities
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify talent needs and develop effective retention strategies
  • Identify leadership and associate development opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Provide change management support during organizational or process changes
  • Coach and influence leaders and associates to foster high performance and engagement
  • Manage Associate Opinion Survey processes, including result dissemination and action planning
  • Administer compensation within established guidelines and perform analysis to retain top talent
