About The Role The HR Generalist at MasterCorp plays a vital role in supporting the company’s human resources functions by providing comprehensive HR services, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The role involves managing onboarding processes, assisting with employee relations, supporting performance management initiatives, and maintaining accurate HR records. This position requires strong bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills, as it involves engaging with a diverse workforce. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for both associates and managers, promoting organizational values and ensuring HR policies are effectively implemented. The role is based in the greater Hilton Head, SC market, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes several days in the local office. Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.
Qualifications Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are preferred. Candidates should have 1-3 years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. A foundational understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements is essential. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems like Workday are highly desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish are required, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating recruitment efforts and onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Support the administration of performance review processes, tracking completion rates, and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Facilitate benefits enrollment processes, responding to employee questions and ensuring accurate benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, maintaining accurate and secure employee records within HRIS systems.
- Assist in scheduling and tracking employee training programs and certification requirements, facilitating necessary training sessions.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Communicate company policies and procedures effectively to employees and management, promoting understanding and adherence.
- Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and integrity, including participating in employee relations investigations.
- Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
