School Social Worker

Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a school district located in Detroit, MI.

Position Details:

• Full-time, onsite role

• School-based setting providing counseling, behavioral support, and social-emotional interventions

• Collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators to support student success

• Caseload information will be provided during the district interview

Requirements:

• Active Michigan School Social Worker license/approval issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

• Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) credential through the Michigan Board of Social Work

• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and student support services

• Preferred: Previous experience in a school-based setting; strong communication and collaboration skills
