About The Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare applications that adhere to the latest interoperability standards, including FHIR, HL7, and CDA. Your work will directly impact federal healthcare delivery systems by enhancing application functionality, integrating with Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms such as Epic and Cerner, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely within the United States, contributing to projects that promote health information exchange and improve patient care through innovative technology solutions.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end and back-end development using ASP.NET, C#, and related frameworks is required. Candidates should have at least 3 years of specialized experience in healthcare systems, including familiarity with health data standards, interoperability, and healthcare-specific security protocols. Strong proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and ORM tools like Entity Framework or Dapper is essential. Experience with UI/UX design, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as Blazor, Razor, and Bootstrap is also required. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOA architecture, and database management with SQL/SQLite or NoSQL databases like MongoDB or RavenDB is necessary. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7 v2, and CDA will ensure success in this role. Candidates should also have experience integrating with major EHR systems and developing SMART on FHIR applications, along with a strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication flows.
Responsibilities As a Full Stack .NET Developer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing healthcare applications that meet industry standards and client requirements. You will implement SMART on FHIR applications that seamlessly integrate with existing EHR systems, ensuring secure data exchange through OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols. Your role involves developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, performing data mapping and transformation between legacy healthcare formats and modern FHIR standards, and creating FHIR resources, profiles, and implementation guides. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design artifacts into functional, accessible, and user-centered applications, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
Additional duties include performing system analysis, participating in code reviews, and testing applications to ensure robustness and security. You will also work closely with stakeholders to understand clinical workflows and incorporate user feedback into iterative development cycles. Maintaining documentation for FHIR resources, profiles, and implementation guides, as well as staying updated on healthcare interoperability standards and testing tools, will be critical to your success in this role.
