Job Title: Fuel Fabrication Chemical Analysis Technician

Location: Everett, WA

Type: Contract

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory-based research, chemical analysis, and development activities to support fuel fabrication for the advanced nuclear reactor.

  • Generate test reports documenting analytical chemistry and resulting data to support fuel design and qualifications.

  • Act as the custodian and expert operator of laboratory equipment (e.g., C/N/O analyzer, ICP-MS), developing procedures and training users.

  • Conduct material analysis to determine oxygen and nitrogen content for various samples using ICP-MS.

  • Assist with the design, fabrication, and operation of custom laboratory experiments.

  • Communicate data results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical parties.

  • Safely handle radiological material samples in accordance with company and WA state laws.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience.

  • Ability to work independently and solve challenging problems with critical thinking.

  • Ability to abide by safety regulations imposed by both the lab and the state of Washington.

  • High level of trust, integrity, openness in communication, and teamwork orientation.

  • Physical ability to stand, move, and lift up to 20 pounds; prolonged standing or sitting, bending, gripping, fine motor skills.

  • Ability to work in a standard laboratory environment with necessary safety and safety standards adherence.
