Practicum I for School Counselor: Description of Position The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Northeastern State University invites applications for a part-time adjunct position serving the counseling program. The successful candidate should have expertise and the ability to teach in person and online, and have a background in school counseling.

While our department offers courses on all three campuses including Tahlequah, Broken Arrow, and Muskogee, this position will be based on the Broken Arrow campus.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be able to teach Practicum I for School Counselors

Part-time faculty in the Counseling program are responsible for developing course materials and teaching assigned courses within the curriculum.

All course delivery integrates technology, including Face-to-Face classes.

Experience Previous experience teaching counseling at the graduate level is preferred.

Education Requirements A Master’s degree in Counseling required with extensive experience in School Counseling.

Salary $800/Credit hour

Anticipated Start Date Summer 2026

College/Department Statement The Department of Psychology and Counseling is housed in the College of Education and is comprised of twenty-three (23) full time faculty members serving an undergraduate program in psychology and a graduate program in counseling. The faculty represent a diverse group of professional educators and we embrace and celebrate this diversity within our department. We are one of the largest departments at NSU in terms of the number of faculty and students, both undergraduate and graduate.
