Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Food Safety Consultant. The consultant will work closely with food and beverage businesses to ensure compliance with SQF standards and implement effective food safety protocols. Responsibilities include conducting quality audits, reviewing food safety plans, assessing operations against regulatory compliance, and providing recommendations for process improvements. This role demands collaboration with clients to develop solutions tailored to their specific needs while promoting food safety excellence.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Food Science and knowledge of the Food Industry
- Strong understanding of Food Safety standards and practices
- Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Auditing processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in interpreting regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and client relationship skills
- Small Food Business knowledge and/or industry certifications like SQF Practitioner are preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is beneficial
