Environment This is a hybrid eligible position where Monday through Wednesday would be working in one of our offices with Thursday and Friday eligible for work from home days Office locations include Monterey CA Roseville CA Bakersfield CA Phoenix AZ and Spokane WA Job Overview The Financial Analyst has a responsibility in supporting the FP&A Manager in meeting departmental goals and objectives and assisting with the development of workflows policies procedures and internal controls within assigned area The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining a complex financial model to analyze and evaluate financial and operational performance Minimum Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field3 years of experience in financial analysis capital allocation corporate finance or related rolesFinancial & Analytical Skills Advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques including NPV IRR and discounted cash flow DCF analysisStrong understanding of capital allocation corporate finance and investment appraisal methodologiesAbility to assess risk adjusted returns and scenario analysis to support decision makingTechnical & Tools Proficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VBA macros and complex formulas PowerPoint and financial reporting toolsExperience with financial planning software business intelligence tools eg Power BI Tableau and ERP systemsBusiness & Strategic Acumen Understanding of key financial statements cost of capital and capital budgeting processesAbility to align financial strategy with corporate objectives and identify value creation opportunitiesExperience in P&C insurance financial services or strategic finance roles is a plusCollaboration & Leadership Strong ability to work cross functionally with finance operations and senior leadership to drive capital allocation decisionsExcellent communication skills for presenting financial insights
