Diakon is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing.General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing duties, which support the Accounting and Financial Reporting function.
  • Prepares and analyzes detailed monthly reporting for DCFCM and Affordable Housing and reports significant variances.
  • Prepares account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Develops queries, standardized financial reports, and other schedules in the General Ledger system in response to requests from Finance leadership or operational users.
  • Prepares proforma financial reporting and analysis models for understanding proposed program changes.
  • Supports executives directors to ensure they have full understanding of operating results and key performance indicators.

Education/Training: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field of study required.Experience: A minimum of three-four (3-4) years of experience working with established accounting procedures in an automated environment preferred.ADA: Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license.Compensation and Benefits:
