About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Tempe, AZ, operating on a hybrid schedule. This pivotal role involves direct engagement with corporate budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning cycles. The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in delivering strategic insights through advanced financial modeling, KPI development, and dashboard creation. The ideal candidate will collaborate across various departments to streamline reporting processes, support key initiatives, and contribute to continuous process improvements. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Proven experience with Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities is essential, demonstrating the ability to develop complex financial models and interactive dashboards. Prior experience within the education industry is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. A track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting strategic initiatives will be highly valued. Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the corporate budgeting process, including ownership of financial models, scenario analysis, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Drive month-end close activities related to financial analytics, providing variance commentary, performance insights, and supporting senior leadership decision-making processes.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor operational and financial performance effectively.
- Partner with operations, accounting, and various business units to validate financial assumptions, support strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automate reporting workflows, and refine financial models to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, long-term planning, and ad hoc analysis to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
