| | | Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle patient or public complaints, feedback, assistance and enquiries;

  2. Handle medico-legal and public liability issues in relation to patient claims;

  3. Support clinical departments to handle difficult conflicting patient relations situation and enhance communication in occurrence of patient safety incidents;

  4. Provide secretarial support to committee and meetings;

  5. Conduct trend analysis and digest reports on patient relations;

  6. Support patient relations and engagement education / training programmes for all ranks of staff;

  7. Support office administration and supervision of clerical staff in the Patient Relations Office;

  8. Support department on organizing department sharing, patient focus groups and other patient engagement initiatives;

  9. Provide support to clinical departments during non-office hours by performing on call duties;

  10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Entry Requirements:

  1. A university degree or equivalent;

  2. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preferred Attributes:

  1. Good interpersonal skills to work with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals, community organizations and members of the general public;

  2. Good command of spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English, and written Chinese and English. A high standard of language and presentation skills is also a pre-requisite.

  3. Able to handle adverse situations and tight work schedule independently;

  4. Working experience in complaint management or customer service;

  5. Good managerial competence in problem solving, decision making and quality management;

  6. Willing to perform on call duty and work in any hospitals in NTEC subject to job rotation.
