Position: Manager — Environmental, Sustainability & Energy

Job Responsibilities:
- Embrace and champion HSE policies and procedures — Safety is the price of admission to JSW USA!
- Manage environmental regulatory compliance, ISO 14001/45001 and sustainability monitoring and reporting programs and systems, including accurate and timely permit applications, regulatory reports, responses to agency information requests, etc.
- Help to lead JSW Group Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) and Sustainable Energy Environment and Decarbonization (SEED) initiatives, including product stewardship programs, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and JSW USA GreenEdge™ product offerings
- Drive continuous improvement in energy and industrial gases monitoring and efficiency programs as part of JSW USA — US Dept of Energy Better Plants partnership
- Manage staff responsible for operations & maintenance activities to ensure reliability of water treatment, utilities, environmental control facilities, resource recovery & recycling programs
- Held to lead the technical evaluation of processes and equipment to optimize efficiency & reliability, improve trend-based monitoring to proactively identify issues
- Direct plant emergency responses for HSE incidents and implement contingency plans as required
- Serve as member of project teams, commissioning and operating new environmental and utilities operations for expansion projects or upgrades
- Coordinate and manage contractors as required
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- S. in engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in U. S. heavy manufacturing industry (steel industry a plus)
- Experience with regulatory compliance, water, air pollution control, utilities operations
- Project and personnel management skills
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to be on call and respond to off-shift emergencies as needed

- B.S. in engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
