Entry Level Structural Engineer

Job Summary
The Design Engineer (Structural) supports the Structural Services Division by performing engineering design, analysis, and evaluation for a variety of construction and renovation projects. This role works collaboratively with licensed engineers and project teams to develop detailed structural designs, prepare construction documents, and ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Design Engineer will participate in all phases of project execution, from concept development to construction observation.Job Responsibilities Perform structural evaluations of existing buildings, components, and systems and prepare detailed engineering reportsConduct structural design and analysis of footings, foundations, beams, columns, floor systems, and lateral bracing using materials such as reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and woodPrepare bid specifications, contract documents, and construction drawings for new construction and repair projectsConduct site visits and progress inspections, preparing clear and thorough construction observation reportsPerform inspections of structural damage and develop corresponding engineering analysis reportsCoordinate with inspectors, technicians, clients, and other project stakeholders to ensure project successManage project tasks, maintain documentation, and assist in overall project execution and deliveryJob Requirements Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities with sound engineering judgmentExcellent organizational, analytical, and time management skillsProven teamwork, leadership, and communication abilitiesProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies such as RevitAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentEducation Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or Construction) with a concentration in Structural Engineering requiredWork Experience Experience in a construction or engineering office preferredAdditional Job Details Position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and collaboration with cross-functional project teams #ZR
