General Job Summary: The Enterprise Lead Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, patient safety, and clinical excellence across Tryon. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating enterprise-wide compliance initiatives including OSHA standards, patient safety audits, clinical staff education, pharmacy operations, and reconciliation processes. The RN will collaborate with clinical leadership, administrative teams, and external regulatory bodies to maintain a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

(This is a full time position that will support all locations as needed, include travel, with some flexibility to work remote. This position is Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm).

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

  • Utilizing systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing service administration and delivery of care in the department.
  • Work in conjunction with Administration, Human Resources, and Compliance to lead and manage OSHA, CLIA, and DEA compliance programs across all clinical sites.
  • Conducts routine audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Monitors and reports patient safety incidents; develops and implements corrective action plans to mitigate patient safety risks.
  • Designs and delivers ongoing education programs for clinical staff on safety, documentation, and standardization (e.g., skills lab).
  • Maintains training records and ensures staff certifications are current and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees medication management protocols, including storage, handling, and administration.
  • Conducts regular pharmacy audits and reconciliation of controlled substances.
  • Assists with the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensures policies reflect current regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Trains new clinical hires.
  • Provides fit testing to all applicable clinical staff on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating all clinical protocols and policies at least annually. Communicates update to all applicable team partners.
  • Ensures understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, to include healthcare services and practice, while complying with all required regulations and policies.
  • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
  • Assists in planning of nursing care and other services by considering factors such as safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice.
  • Creates collegial relationships with interdisciplinary partners promoting continuity of care and integrated services across the continuum of care.
  • Participates with performance improvement activities.
  • Implements action plans to improve patient outcome and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.
  • Promotes evidence-based practice.
  • Will be required to travel to multiple Tryon locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

++Position Qualifications++ ++:++

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current state registered nurse license.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Maintain American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Experience with compliance, quality, and safety preferred.
  • Experience writing and maintaining protocols.

  • Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Must speak and understand English fluently.
  • Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit/department conditions.
