Our patented technology, featured in EVs, solar inverters, and even rocket ships, has earned us design wins among the most prominent and respected companies in these markets.As an Engineering Technician Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain electronics and lab experience supporting a team with critical roles at every stage of semiconductor product development and evaluation, and gain unique skills related to high voltage testing and safety.Term: Summer/Fall Co-Op (June ’26 – Dec ’26)Responsibilities
- Support a team of electrical engineers testing new semiconductor designs and designing custom PCBs.
- Assemble, test, and rework PCBs, cables, and wiring harnesses.
- Perform measurements and collect data using standard lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, arbitrary waveform generators, and logic analyzers.
- Maintain a wide array of lab equipment and supplies, including performing quarterly calibrations, facilitating equipment repairs, and procuring additional equipment as needed.
- Develop test equipment knowledge to assist engineers in selecting the appropriate equipment for their specific needs.
- Ensure lab safety and compliance with key quality standards, such as ISO 9001.
Required Experience and Skills
- Working towards an associate’s degree or certificate as an electronics or engineering technician
- Coursework or experience soldering electronic components on PCBs (IC packages, resistors, capacitors, etc.)
- Coursework or experience in analog and digital circuit analysis
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, power supply, etc.)
- Familiarity with circuit fundamentals
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (C, Python, etc.)
LI-DJ1The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 – $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 – $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
